Somewhat Special Event: The Extras Talk Back!

*Sassafras nods in understanding.* Yeah, I hear ya. Me and my sister actually used to be cats too, so I get that shift being awkward... Sounds like we got off light compared to you, though.

Yeah. Age would definitely be a factor, since both you and Gingersnap were still pretty young for cats and weren't as set in your mind as we were. Method of eating's a possibility, too... I mean, we had ours minced in a blender, and you two straight up ate the fruits right off the plant---... *cuts herself off, sweatdropping* Sorry, I'm rambling.

Anyway, a lot of the chores we could do were limited, and in truth still are. Stints at the Mungojerrie notwithstanding, neither of us can cook well. *sighs dejectedly* And after the second time I got myself trapped in a wall, I was banned from doing pest control and any sort of plumbing or electrical work.

Oh, that's... too bad. There must be something you're good at, though!

Yeah. Brainpower's my thing, so I try to sign up for any tasks that let me put it to work. Maintaining any of the libraries, helping in the greenhouse, proofreading and editing job assignments, working the books at the Shop and Eatery... of course, that's not to say I'm terrible at general cleanup. It's just... well, I'm Silver. That doesn't really require much explanation, right?

Oh, cool! I've never really been good at that sort of thing, myself. Y'know, since I didn't really go to school or anything...

*leans forward eagerly, eyes glimmering* Eeeeeee---!

Drew: *from elsewhere in the park* AAH! Sabrina, stop your squealing before my earrings shatter!

*Catching herself, Sabrina jerks back so quickly that she almost tips over backward in her seat.*

Yiii---! Sassafras, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I didn't startle you, did I?

*Sassafras leans back in surprise and covers her ears.* I, uh, I'm sorry? Did I say something wrong?

*blushing* No no, nothing like that. Just to clarify, you never had a formal education, right? The bulk of what you learned was either picked up from our co-workers or from random stuff online, right? Aside from your Color-based musical talents, I mean.

[Ookalf]

*Sassafras nods.* Uh, yeah, pretty much... Is that surprising or something?

Not surprising, no, but that leads me to my point. After I get my degree, I'll finally be fully accredited as a teacher. So, I was thinking about having classes at the Manor in-between shifts to help those maids in your same situation. Think you'll be interested in joining in after I get things established?

You wanna teach me? ...Well, sure! *Sassafras nods enthusiastically.* I've always wanted to get caught up on all that kind of stuff! Should I bring Ginger too?

[AmbushCat]

*positively giddy* If she's okay with it, sure! *realizes something* ...It just occurred to me that we might need a bit more security for the classes if we have her show up. Indigo, and that.

Oh, right. I hope that won't be too much of a problem...

Nothing we haven't put up with before, I'm sure. I'll see if I can arrange the classes so that they happen when Doris Sturm is off-shift. She's a bit of a grouch when she's not working, but she means well.

Oh yeah, Doris. She'd probably be good at the sort of thing... *Sassafras looks around the area.* Too bad she's not one of the people here, or else we could just ask her now.
