I ain't gonna share too much detail about that for the sake of any kids who might be listening in, so I'll keep it brief. From what I was told, sometime after my oldest bro Bernard was born, my Mom Blackie was talking to Dad. They'd been married about three years by then, and she'd known about Dad's special ability since a decade prior, but one thing she wasn't sure about was if the gender change was... complete or not. Dad knew it was, of course--he'd paid too many visits to the hospital not to know it was--but he'd hadn't entirely convinced Mom of it yet. She wanted further proof.
So he convinced her to try a little "experiment". She basically shrugged and said "sure, okay". She wanted more kids anyhoo. So Dad swapped himself, then did the same to Mom, and stuff happened.
A couple months later, a chocolate-point Siamese kitten joined the family. >^_^< Dad had to stay female until after everything was said and done, but he'd finally managed to convince my Mom of the facts.
