Somewhat Special Event: The Extras Talk Back!

Phosphora: *winks* Bingo, kitty. Lady Viridi doesn't like leaving things to chance. The uncarroted maids that cycled through Brotherhood HQ for a while had us concerned, so when we discovered that Charis wanted to work at the Manor, we re-established contact with her and talked her into keeping tabs on any she met.

[Ookalf]

Ah, yeah, I can see how some of us might look a little suspicious... But you decided we're all fine, right?

[AmbushCat]

Phosphora: *shrugs, noncommittal* "For humanoids", Viridi would probably say. Speaking for myself, Charis is happy there. If she wasn't, we'd know it.

[Ookalf]

Hmm... Well, we're happy to have her, too. So, I guess that all works out?

[AmbushCat]

Phosphora: Yeah, all's well that ends well.
Back on the topic of actual gardening... aside from the oddities of growing meat, there's this one seed I've heard stories about that I've been trying to locate off and on. It's allegedly the Holy Grail of botany.

[Ookalf]

Oh? *Sassafras is intrigued!* A Holy Grail? What kind of plant is that?

Phosphora: Figure of speech, kitty. Y'know, like something everyone tries to find so much?
And what exactly I'm looking for is something called the Omniplant. Starts out like a normal flower, but it can be actively fed almost anything. Then when it blooms, it spawns more of whatever it ate. I know for a fact it exists, but finding it's a tall order just because its extremely elusive.

[Ookalf]

I see, I see... *Sassafras nods in understanding.* That does sound like an amazing plant... Say, we have a lot of magic stuff at our place. May I can ask around and see if anyone there knows anything about it... You know, if you want.

Phosphora: *thinks for a bit, then shrugs* If you want to, go ahead. Don't know how successful that endeavor's going to be, but I guess it never hurts to ask, right?

[Ookalf]

*Sassafras smiles.* Yeah! I'll do that, and then when we meet to talk about the meat plant, I'll tell you if I've learned anything!

[AmbushCat]

Phosphora: That'll work fine. Now that we're done talking business, got anything you wanted to ask me? *blinks, then laughs weakly* Or was that it?

[Ookalf]

Huh? *Sassafras looks confused for a second, then remembers what she's supposed to be here for.* Oh, right! Um, let me think... OK, here's a question! What do you do for a living? You said the gardening's not your main thing, right?

Phosphora: My day-job is that of one of Lady Viridi's chief lieutenants. I help supervise the Forces of Nature, take part in full-scale battles when I need to... which is bimonthly where the Brotherhood and their freaky mooks are concerned. I earn some money on the side by doing tech support for a number of small businesses scattered around Muffinville... that sweet setup in my suite didn't come for free. And since my resurrection into this era, I've been doing my best to keep Viridi sane in the face of all this Color energy that's still floating around, which is a full-time job in itself. *rolls her eyes* Go figure.

Wow, that all sounds like a lot of work... How do you keep up with it?

[AmbushCat]

Phosphora: *snaps a finger up* DELEGATION! ... *looks around, then lowers her finger and chuckles sheepishly* Ahem... anyway, yeah. Delegation. Viridi also resurrected Arlon at some point, but he's not one of our frontliners. Instead, any forces not actively engaged in battle he cycles and regulates, which frees up any time I would've spent doing the same thing. *pours a bit of punch for herself* Also, he's nice enough to take over for me whenever I want a day or two off to focus on my tech.
